Days Of Our Lives is an American Soap opera that first hit the airwaves in 1965 and was created by Ken and Betty Corday.

 

It centres around the people of Salem who live ordinary every day lives.

 

It's also where Marlena Evans was possessed by the devil  and where people who are dead occasionally come back to life. It amazes me with Days how many times  Hope Brady, Marlena Evans  and Stefano Dimera hve been brought back from the dead. They say cats have nine lives, but come on seriously you would think their remains would be rotting in the ground with instead of walking around smiling, and in Stefano's case causing havoc and being with their families .

 

I first started watching Days in the summer of 1985 when a friend of mine showed me the show , I thought it was intresting to say the least, I loved Bo and Hope in particular because they reminded me of Luke and Laura but without the rape storyline.

 

Adventures a plenty have been shown on this show and they had to thrown in a villian or two to liven things up a bit.

 

As far as villians go we have the likes of  Stefano Dimera whom I happen to love, something about that man just captivates you when he's laughing at the likes of John Black or Bo Brady.

 

Vivian Alamain is another crazy bad un whom just doesn't give up, well except for when Brady Black locked her in a surcofficas and didn't let her out. LOL That storyline just made me laugh so much , because it was pay back time . She was going to do that to  Maggie Horton.

 

Vivian also tried to kill Carly Manning and also stole Kate Robert's embryo and she gave birth to  Kate's son Lucas. What a whack job she was.

 

For me though the Brady's were the family on the show I adored with Bo and Hope being the adventurous ones, and their off spring Shawn D being involved with Marlena's daughter Belle. Another great couple who were cute as hell and twice as funny.

 

Sami Brady on the other hand what a nightmare , she is an embarrassment to her family with all the stupid stunts and the mistakes she makes.

 

This is what endears me to this show even more, the family connection is the best thing of all on this show, and lets not forget that Stefano Dimera is a step relative of the Brady's whom hates them because John Black is his brother and this was through  Shawn Brady Seniors sister Colleen.

 

The raping of  Sami Brady, the attack on Chloe lane both when she had acid thrown in her face and when she was attacked by Vivian's crazy man servant were storylines as of late that made me say okay wtf is wrong with this show. The other huge storyline they had was when certain characters were presumed dead and ended up on an island out in the middle of god knows where being tormented by the man they thought was Tony Dimera when in fact it was his cousin.

 

What has kept me interested in this show for so long is the fact that I want to see what they are gonna do next. .

 

Fans stifle a giggle or two and are awestruck or maybe dumb struck as it were because no matter what Days has this way of drawing you in when you walk away from it shaking your head like omg are you freaking kidding me right now.

 

And this is way it has so many viewers who come back for more, the wackier it gets the fans just keep coming back for more.
